Hiraeth
Hiraeth refers to an unattainable longing—for a place, a time, for something that perhaps never existed.
The word itself took me to this body of work which hints at place, at light, at something not quite there. The photographic image suggests looking at a thing, a place, a time but not does not confirm it—are these actual or notional places/events?
